  • Christians in Action meets every Tuesday in Room 125 at 8:15. Everyone is welcome!
  • Friends of Rachel meeting on Wed 5/17 after school.
  • Core Value for this week is Fairness. Fair-minded people never twist rules for personal gain.
  • If you forgot to order a yearbook online you may reserve your copy of this year's yearbook by bringing cash or check in the amount of $50 to Mrs. Muz in room 139.
  • All Spirit Wear is half price in the library during lunches. Sweatshirts and long sleeve t shirts are $10; short sleeve t shirts are only $7.50.
  • Reminder!!! Claim any lost items in the lost and found outside of Room 103.
  • Boys and Girls Soccer Thur May 18th at LCIS. Girls at 4:45pm. Boys at 6pm.
  • There is no running or horseplay allowed in the hallway. These actions will result in an automatic 2 hour detention. Please help us keep the hallways safe!
  • Any 8th grader receiving ISS beginning May 1 will not be eligible for the end of year pool party.
  • Student Council Meeting will be Monday May 15th due to STAAR testing this week. See you in Room 418 after school. 
  • Its time for the final Seabrook Engineering Design Challenge. Don't forget to sign up in Mr. Lowe's room by the end of the day Thursday, 5/18, if you want to participate. Competition will be on Friday May 19 during Advisory.
  • Tuesday 5/16 is the 6th Grade Field Trip
  • NJHS members- don't forget the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on Friday morning! We need lots of food and breakfast treats. 
  • Monday 5/15 is Fine Amnesty Day. You must show your face to have your fines cleared. Its' easy; simply tell us a book that you plan to read over the summer. All late materials must be turned in to clear fines. And all reading materials are due by May 19th.
  • Scholastic's BOGO Book Fair will be running in the library from May 17-23rd. Don't miss out on getting your favorite books! 
  • On Friday, 5/12, the SIS Choirs attended the Spring High School Splashtown Choral Festival. Our choirs received straight 1s from all 3 judges giving them a superior rating, which put them in the running for placing in the overall contest. At the end of the 2 day competition, which included 63 choirs from across the State of Texas, The SIS choir won 1st place in their division! Congratulations on an outstanding job and thank you for representing our school with such class and excellence!
  • Friday, May 19 is the Student/Faculty Basketball Game
  • All NJHS students attending the Lock in on Friday must pick up a parent approval form in Mr. Lowe's room. Bring the signed form to Mr. Lowe's room or to the lock in. No pajamas are allowed. 
  • 8th Grade Awards Ceremony is Monday, May 22 at 7pm. 
  • 6th Grade Awards Ceremony is Tuesday, May 23 during Advisory in the cafeteria.
  • 7th Grade Awards Ceremony is Wednesday, May 24 during Adviosry in the cafeteria.
  • The LMC will hold their Volunteer Appreciation Celebration on Friday 5/19 from 4-4:45pm.
